Legal Requirements for Marriage in the UK:

The UK has recently opened up a fairly extensive list of approved venues for civil wedding ceremonies. Previously, civil ceremonies were required to take place at the office of the area's Registrar, our version of a JoP. The Blair Esatate is now a registered venue for civil marriages, which can take place only in thier garden area, which is exactly what I wanted.

There is an extensive list of documents one must have in order before marrying in the UK from abroad. These include a marriage visa good for 90 days in country, proof of no impediment from your home government, official divore decrees if you were married, proof that you are not related by blood or marriage, papers to the official registrar performing the ceremony and a few others. Nothing too difficult, but they still have to be in order according to the timetables set out by the Scottish government. I'll link the specific legal pages later.
